The START Center Selected for The Oncology Care Model Program
Updated: Feb 15, 2020
We’re excited and honored to announce that The START Center for Cancer Care has been selected for a unique and ambitious program coordinated by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid, a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The study will help to come up with better and more cost efficient outcomes for cancer treatment, and help shape the future of cancer care.
We will be part of the Oncology Care Model, a five-year nationwide study that encourages physician practices to improve care and lower costs through episode- and performance-based payments to reward high-quality patient care. The program includes nearly 200 physician groups and 12 health insurance companies.
