Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy (Policy) sets forth THE START CENTER privacy practices regarding the collection and use of personal data relating to all START/STOH websites (Sites) addressing the US and Europe.
The Start Center is dedicated to treating people with respect, transparency, and integrity; therefore, we don’t sell or lease your personal data to a third party. This Policy also describes your choices regarding our use of your personal data and how you can access and update your information. When we refer to THE START CENTER, we mean South Texas Oncology and Hematology, PA, South Texas Accelerated Research and Therapeutics LLC, START Midwest LLC & START Mountain Region LLC.
International users who access our international site(s) and applications or provide information to THE START CENTER, understand and agree with THE START CENTER ’s legitimate interest to collect, use, disclose, retain and transfer your personal data to the United States and other countries and territories for the purposes stated in this Policy. This includes, but is not limited to, the transfer of personal data between THE START CENTER ‘s third parties, and affiliates located in the United States and globally.
The START Center complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States, respectively. START has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, the EU-U.S. DPF Principles shall govern. The START CENTER remains accountable for onward transfers of EU personal data to third-party agents acting on the START Center’s behalf, where those parties have processed personal data in a manner inconsistent with the Principles unless the START Center proves it is not responsible for the event. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over the START Center’s compliance with EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF Principles. If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that START has not addressed satisfactorily, please contact our U.S.-based third-party dispute resolution provider, JAMS Data Privacy Program, (free of charge). Under certain conditions, more fully described on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF website, you may be entitled to invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.
The Start Center protects any EU information transferred to other third countries by introducing privacy provisions to our contracts with online providers or by ensuring the providers adopt the EU standard model clause of the European Commission to ensure information is protected in an adequate manner.

The access granted to our affiliates and third parties is limited solely to the purpose for which such information was provided. Furthermore, we require our affiliates, and third parties to uphold and maintain THE START CENTER’s policies with respect to privacy and the treatment of your personal data. Regardless of their locations or the laws of the countries, they are based in, they are contractually required to provide at least the same level of protection as required by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF Principles.

THE START CENTER and our partners use a variety of technologies to facilitate the delivery of services to you via our Sites and applications and to understand and preserve your personal preferences. The use of these is governed by our Policy or the privacy policy of the third party providing the service.
Access & choice
Registered users and those who have provided THE START CENTER with personal data may request to review, change or delete information by logging in and modifying their profile, by e-mailing webmaster@thstartcenter.com. Deletion or change requests should be made by you directly. We will respond to all access requests within 30 days.

For example, we encrypt the transmission of sensitive information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow industry standards and best practices to protect your personal data during transmission and once we receive it. Minors
Our Sites are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18, and THE START CENTER does not knowingly collect personal data from those in this age group. If you are under 18, please discontinue the use of our Sites and applications. If we become aware that someone under the age of 18 has registered, we will expunge any related personal data from our records.
Updates to privacy policy
