Ardow Ameduri MD

Dr. Ardow Ameduri, a member of the START Center, has practiced radiation therapy since 1973. He received his MD from the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and interned at St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He did an National Cancer Institute fellowship in radiation therapy at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin and a residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Ameduri is board certified in radiation therapy and treats cancers in all areas of the body with conventional or Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). He has participated in prostate brachytherapy (seed implants) since 1989, treated the first IMRT patient in San Antonio in 1999, and has used the Mammosite® procedure for breast cancer since 2002. He is also experienced in stereotactic robotic radiosurgery for both CNS tumors and extracranial tumors. Dr. Ameduri also is certified to use the radionuclides Quadramet® for bone metastasis and BEXXAR® for lymphomas.
