Joaquin Mira, M.D.

Dr. Joaquin Mira is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist in practice with South Texas Oncology and Hematology. He received his medical degree from the University of Madrid, Spain. Dr. Mira’s clinical interests include Radiation Therapy in general and also cancers of the lung, breast, prostate, and brain. He is proficient in Gynecological and Head and Neck implants, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Radiosurgery, and Brachytherapy. In addition to his Radiation Oncology practice, Dr. Mira is also a clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, TX. He developed the residency program at that institution, and he has published and presented original works in National and
International meetings.
